Radio suddenly seems to not work
On my 99 civic, the radio suddenly doesnt work. I have checked both fuses, one under dash and one under hood...everything looks good, everything in the car works fine, and the cd player is stock and has never been tampered with.......
Check all of the fuses in the car under the dash. If it is still not working, it may have broken. Does the radio power up at all or whats going on with it?? Also, if you changed the battery you will probably need the code to unlock it.

I just finished installing a new deck and it still wont turn on,, and no, the code is not the issue cause it wasnt asking for a code, because it wasnt getting power to turn on and need the code!!!
so you just finished installing this deck?? Was the old one working? Also, check fuses under hood. Post the entire situation, start to finish, I hate playing 50 questions.
Use a multimeter to make sure that you are getting 12V+ from the contant power and the switched power leads. Then check your ground.

Does your radio say "anti theft" anywhere at all? My radio stopped asking me for the code after the wrong one was entered. Eventually, I was given another chance to enter it.
ok sorry.... Ok I had the stock deck and everything was working dandy, then the battery to my car was replaced and suddenly the stock radio does not turn on.. It still had power though because it has the little red flashing LED for the anit theft (like when car is off, it flashes..) anyways so I decided to say screw it so I bought a Kenwood deck, and hooked it up to my car. The kenwood does not turn on either, So I bought a power tester to test the wiring. (all of the fuses are good )
Now I need to test the power with my tester so I am assuming I would either check the yellow(constant) and the red (12V) coming from the wiring harness ---correct????
I also stuck the tester into the "radio fuse" which I believe is #28 fuse.. and it did read a 12V. I am thinking that It must be a short somewhere between the fuse and the stereo, but I am not sure...............
which wires should I check first??? The constant or the red????
thanks for the help guys
