Default non obd B16 Q's

My 1st gen distributor is going out and I heard that a 91 LS distributor will work too but need to cut off 2 of the mounts to fit. I can have mine cut or can I just take the 91 LS distributor internals and put it in the B16? How difficult is this to do?

Yes you can just swap internals... so I hear. Unfortunately I couldn't tell you how hard it would be to do. I think it's a better route, however tough it is, than ghetto-rigging the wrong distributor shape for the task.

internals from 88-91 cibic/crx or 90-93 integ will fit in jdm b16 dizzy. trust me, my jdm dizzy went out and i replaced it with all new internals from integ. works fine now. just make sure you get oem parts. dont know about using a 90-93 dist but you can always get the jdm dist rebuild. i think its like $150 w/warranty, price a used jdm b16 dist anyways.

I used a D16a6 dizzy on my b16a1 head and I only had to cut one of the ears off. I got 2 of the three to line up. Leaks little to no oil. Im satisfied I guess for now.
