i have a hf and i want to to a si swap what axsles do i use and what else do i need for that swap?

 

HF and Si should be the same.

 

ya the hf and si axles are the same, you can use either or on the swap.

 

Are you sure?? I could have sworn that the Si had the larger splines going into the hub. While the Hf has much smaller splines......

 

You are right the HF hubs are a different spline count. Use the SI/DX axles both will work (88-91). I assume the transmission is an SI.

 

Your HF axles will be fine. The difference lies in the outer joint. The HF/STD have a smaller (23 spline) outer joint while the Si/DX has the larger (26 spline) outer joint. The inner joints are the same so the HF axles will work with an Si tranny as long as you are keeping your HF hubs.

If you are plan on doing a B16a swap in the future, or you are planing on running a ZC tranny with your D-series, you will need to replace the HF hub to a SI/DX hub. (larger) hit up the wreckers for complete knuckles.
