Default 95 GSR motor into a 97 Civic???

I have heard that this is an illegal practice...How hard would it be anyway?I have the engine harness,ECU ,and the swap.Any forseen probs?

If its OBD1 which i think it is.... you will be spending more time on the wiring than smackin a limp dick... easier to get a OBD2.... here check this site out... it did wonders for me hope it helps.

simple swap and shouldnt be illegal...get a conversion harness from blown90hatch, he has a GB goin on now

Isn't it illegal to put a motor in a car that is older than the car.Emmissions issues????

Maybe in Japan. Although I know some cops who think it's illegal to put aftermarket parts on a car.
You still have to follow emission standards (no open header) but swaping the engine is perfectly legal.

You still have to follow emission standards (no open header) but swaping the engine is perfectly legal.
In the US it is illegal to put an older engine into a newer car.
However nobody except california cares.

to install the 95 engine you would use a 96-00 civic ex or si harness to make it
easy, and then get a harness adapter to run the older ecu.
