Default Question on Clutch engagement.

HI!
I have this newbie question.
How can I make sure that when I fully repress the clutch, it becomse completely disangaged? I want to know this because I have my second gear grinding badly on heavy downshift. And this tranny was rebuilt at honda, syncros and gears were changed.
Can this be because of the clutch not fully disangaged? so there is still somme momentum going from the wlywheel to tranny?
Thanks!

could be a bad clutch, it could also be that the clutch line just needs to be blead. try that first than take it back to honda...

I did bleed it today, there was some air, pedal is firmer now.
I can't take it to honda, I bought this tranny from someone who got it serviced there. I don't know if they'll take responsibilty for it since it's not in the original car anymore.
Second grinds badly on downshift at high RPM - drives me mad.
