Anyone have experience with Cusco LSD's?
I am looking to get the RS 10 disc LSD imported for my ZC. I have been told that the Cusco LSD's really only limit slip under acceleration...?
Anyone have ANY info?
Thanks!
PS, Can anyone get one for me?

Only experience i've had with a cusco diff was about 4 years ago. It was on our race car when it ran high 11's and we broke it. Definitely go with the quaife. We still haven't broken one of those to this day.
well Quaife doesn't make a LSD for the ZC tranny. I would have to use un-equal length SI axles to get a Quaife in there.
Cusco on the other hand makes a ZC specific LSD.
Any idea's?

Does anyone make beefy 88-91 SI axles?
Would there be any disadvantages to running unequal length axles with the Quaife LSD?

well HOW?
- I can't run the Quaife with the Equal length axles
- I can run the Cusco diff with equal length axles
However I'm not really enthusiastic about having to rebuild the Cusco every year!

does anyone know about Phantom Grip LSD's?? are they anygood?
I don't understand why you can't run equal length axles with the quaife, someone please enlighten me!

The ZC intermediate shaft and axles will NOT fit in the Quaife SI diff. The Quaife is made to use the smaller splined, unequal length axles of the SI.
i say you find a way to modify your zc intermediate shaft so it has the right spline count for a 88-91 si tranny, that way you can still use the lsd, and have equal length axles. although i have no idea how much trouble something like this would be, but if it's really important, im sure somebody could fab it to work. you'd just use a si axle on passenger side and teg axle on drivers side
hope it works out for you, i have the zc lsd, but im not turbo, and not sure how a rare part like that would hold up with the power you're after, which would suck when you couldnt replace it.
good luck

I wonder if the ZC LSD is pretty much the same thing as a Type R LSD mechanically wise?
I know that several high end race cars utilize the typeR LSD with no problems....

do you already have the zc lsd? if not, i hear they are pretty hard to find. i got really lucky, and when i picked up my zc from the warehouse, since they were getting ready to close, i told him i'd give him 50 bucks more for the tranny, and i got a tranny too. come to find out when i got it back to my shop it had the lsd. needless to say this made my day
No I don't. The lack of info on them, and their rarity, has made me look into different options.
I am still....
on one hand (Cusco) and the other hand (Quaife)
I just don't know yet...

not sure if you care, but what i would lean on is the quaife, for one, because it's got a nice warranty, and should something go wrong with it, you wont be SOL, and 2 because you wont have to worry about going to another country to get it. though its not my decision to make, good luck with whichever way you decide to go.
