i searched and found no info on this so what will the greddy SS header look like after some use? i heard somewhere that it will begin to change colors, is this true? if so what color will it ultimately end up as? thanks

 

it will be goldish,brown,purple with a little bit of rust

no rust, no problems, just need a new GSR donut gasket for the install, makes nice power however i have nothing else to compare it too

 

ok so i JUST got the header in and upon examining it i came up with this question, my cat attaches to the stock exhaust mani with a weird connector and a donut gasket, but the new header doesn't seem to have room for the donut gasket, is this normal? i haven't taken my stock mani off yet to examine it but it doesn't look like it's going to work... my car is a 94 EX with the d16z6 in it.

yea i got a greddy SS, and it turned all kinds of colors....it will happen with wear....

ok so i got the header in and after about a day it turned a beautiful gold color, now after about a week of driving(on and off of coarse) it has changed to a bluish purple, but it also has some little spots on it in many places, did i do something to stain it or is it usual to come in not solid color? thanks

 

I dont know about greddy but DC works for me: After 3 years of using the headers. * notice the spoon radiator cap *

 

I think it turns blue/purple if you touch it and dont wipe it down before using it...

 

yeah, those spot are your fingerprints. just letit cool off,and polish it with some mother's chrome polish (or metal polish, whatever) wipe it off good, and the spots will go away.
