what other trannies besides the YS1 that are cable can I match up with a C1 in my EF? I wouldn't mind having LSD and that's one reason I want the YS1 but what other trannies can I use besides that one?

 

factory lsd's suck , but if u must the jdm y1's came w/ lsd's , good luck finding 1

I believe its the same gearing between s1, and j1. I have a j1, it is great, it just sucks being at 4K at 70 mph. Ryan

 

J1/S1 are damn near the same thing. They have pretty much the same gearing as Tyep R tranny. Just no LSD and different FD.

i got the s1 and i have a hate and love felling for it. you can get going fast but i top out at 112mph in vtec. i can go faster in my toyota corolla. i think the y1 was the way to go can you top out at 130mph... that would be more like it.

my ecu has a 112mph top out...so when i get it chipped i'll have a 9k rev limit and who knows what the top speed will be.

 

true i have a switch on my VSS (car speed senser) but im putting in my ems right now so i haven't tried it yet. waiting on a dam distributor from one of those states with 10feet of snow.. o well
