any one used integra type R suspension on a crx?
first it doesnt work very well. and the struts will most likely need the R forks. the springs are designed for a heavier car so what you end up with is a car that doesnt ride very well and is about as high as stock. so what the point?

Im sure it would need the type R "forks"
I was asking if any one has used the type R suspension on a rex? I see that almost no one has used the 5 lug conversion.

Just because it not slammed to the ground doesn't mean it will not perform well. Yes, the spring rate is higher for a heaver car. Still type R suspension is relatively soft. I'm not sure how the difference in weight would effect the performance of the stock type R suspension. I don't think it would handle too poorly though. I'm sure it would be much better than some pieced together aftermarket coilover kits.

I'll be putting ITR shocks/springs on my 1990 Civic Wagon using 88 CRX lower control arms in a few weeks. I'm looking foward to it

Last summer I had to sell my suspension and before got a new one I put ITR stuff just for fun. Front forks are nothin special "R" stuff, yes you can use it but they are exactly the same (same OEM number) as Civic 92-95 so you can end up by getting these. I have B18C6 in my CRX so it is not the lightest car. With 'R' struts/springs car is really high, I guess higher then stock, anyways it drives somewhat better then stock because 'R' stuff is stiffer (better quality?). If you want performance I don't recommend that swap, with basic Konis you get better handling no doubt.

Thaks for the info Radex.. that what i was asking.
Type-R suspension seems pointless in a EF, because, umm, its for a type-r! Oh I forgot that its makes people feel cool to have a extra lug that IMO does absolutlely nothing. Complete waste of money. Flame all you want.

Yosi- is that the beater
yup brakes are my main objective. I also have type R wheels from my R. SO.. I can get new wheels for the r and I already have some parts. I was thinking the same with suspension. I could get a lowdown kit for the R and use the R suspension for the rex. I guess well see how it goes.

would ITR front upper control arms fit into an 88 crx with stock suspension. reason im asking is because i have 2 itr UCA and my stock UCA got fucked up ball joints.

You may want to make that a new post. You would have better luck finding your answyer.
The rear setup will work all of it,but the 88 crx rear control arm r the same as type R, The front setup will not work .It will make you have positive camber and its not good at all. I would put 90-93 Int. front and back on it .they stop great.
if you want to get it for the brakes you should consiter getting the 96 type r suspention. same brakes in a 4 lug at half the price. b18c1_powered_si sell's them for 800 with every thing.
i put the same thing on my hatch and it's way better don't let any one tell you diffrent.
the itr upper controll arms wont work either, you have to use your stock one's. sorry!
btw there 4x114 also(like a prelude or accord).

oh and if you're doing it for brakes, you need to work on your searching skills. there was a whole like 3 page post on how pointless it is to swap type r crap for brakes. Driven oWnEd everybody on the subject
.
stock size brakes work great for me.. and they're cheaper.. but if you have the parts, that's the only way i'd do it..

the 4 lug R brakes are the same as 92-96 integra brakes(except for the bolt pattern)
