FAQ: CORRECT V-AFC Wiring Diagrams?
Okay here's what I've found, so PLEASE correct what might be wrong:
Also, with my B18C5 being OBD1 at the ECU plug (running re-chipped P28) would I not use diagram number WH-1 here?

So let me go over your replies and see what needs to be changed.
So do you guys think the V-AC is even a good idea or what?
Anyone here have one with NO problems at all?

Now where can I find which wires are what color on the V-AFC harness?
I've got the pin-outs, but I need the wire color codes.
Anyone?
TIA!

TIA!if you scroll down to page 11 it tells you what is what.
I found it on page 12, but it's missing the VTM wire color - anyone know that one?
Thanks again you guys - great help!
u dont have teh instruction manual ?
I bought this thing new like 3 years ago.
I never installed it because of all the problems my friends had with it, but after considering a extra 15-20whp in the midrange (it's that bad for real) and an extra possible 2-5whp up top after tuning, I'm finally doing it.
So again who knows the colors for each wire?

The only people who have real problems fall into two groups:
1.)people who think they are car tuners and change everything while driving around with their homies yo!
2.)people who installed them wrong.

my friend had his on for 2yrs now. he pulled and extra 10 with the VAFC. the only time he had a prob was when he let a guy mess with his settings. other than that he ad no probs.

2. I never installed it because I wasn't going to do it until the day I went to the dyno for tuning - once tuned I'll NEVER change the settings until I upgrade with new mods and have it retuned professionally.

Oh yeah and what about this VTM wire ****? When we go to wire it up do we just hard wire it directly into the ECU with a fresh new pin? I've heard nothing but bad stuff about not installing the VTM wire.
Anyone?
Bueller? Bueller?
A bitch? I wired it with no previous experience with ECU pins or wiring harnesses. Just take your time, and it should be no problem. B18c5, you have a EH2 (as we all know) and the VTM wire is just as easy as anything else, on my 92 hatchy, all the wiring was there. Just take your time, and make sure you wire the brown wire closer to the ECU (like it says).
take your time installing it.. not hard at all.. follow the diagrams and they point you to the correct pinouts..
dont use the cheasy connectors taht comes w/ the vafc, i suggest soldering and taping EVERYTHING.. much better connection and wont come lose over time..

Yeah, just solder all your connections and make sure to put the brown ground CLOSER to the ECU than the black one...
Also, what's with this VTM wire stuff? I didn't hook mine up... is that bad? What's the VTM wire for anyway? The manual I have for it says that if your car isn't VTM equipped then don't bother... I have a 95 civic EX with a SOHC D16Z6 that's turbo'ed and on the pin-out for my ECU it didn't show a VTM wire, so I assumed I didn't have it, am I correct?
(sorry about the thread hi-jack tom)

FYI - we sent out a friends vafc harness to kenji so he could make a plug and play adapter for it, and every single wire on the vafc pigtail was used. This is for a 94 gsr.

I had one, and for the price it's not worth it, IMO. It's pretty much worthless unless you tune it on a dyno with wideband o2, and for the price you could just buy a Hondata and have much more accurate tuning done on a dyno. I got the S200 and it's my best investment so far. I made 114whp on first run with no tuning. After John tuned my Hondata...126WHP on D16Y8..... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=646034
