Smoking at high rpms ????
Okay when i race my car I have a alil trail of smoke that comes out of my exhaust. I talk to a friend of mine who knows about cars. He said it could be your piston ring or your valve seals. he told me to do a compression test wet and dry. if both are the same then its your valve seals if it goes up then its your rings . i did the test they were all the same all around wet and dry 180 psi. so i am guess it is my valve seal . how much would it cost to fix ????? p.s I also have oil on my spark plug if that help .

this is a totally different problem .... not just valve tube seals this is the actual valve seal they can be changed with the head on the car but i would take it to a mechanic to let them do it because it isnt that easy to do and if you mess up it could end up costing you more money ... the seals are cheap maybe like 1.50 each but the labor will be about 250-350 your only other choice is to pull hte heads yourself and have them rebiult and that will also solve your problem ... but still a costly solution
All i was saying is that the search function should have been utilized. However if he had said that there was oil on the electrodes i would have suggested valve stem seals which is what i think you are talking about. My friends crx was smoking really bad and we replaced those and it fixed the problem.
