Ok, For the past few weeks i have been having some clutch issues so i thought, but here is basically whats been going on. When i first found there was a problem i was trying to launch my car at about 3500 , and when i did the car spun 1st and then when i shifted to 2nd it just reved to the rev limiter so i switched to 3rd same deal, it was going into gear but the gear was not working like i was in neutral, and smelled like burnt clutch. Well since about last monday its felt like the clutch was losing pressure and some time i would push the clutch down and it would stick. But other then that the clutch fells great no slipping etc. But today i went out to leave for work and i pressed the clutch in and it almost went to the floor before i felt any pressue, and i was like wierd so i started it up and when i tried to push it in gear it would not go at first then it finally went but felt really weird so i just left my car at my house, any suggestions on were to start, i dont want to buy a clutch if i dont have to but i just need some opions,Oh yeah its a 95 ls Thanks

 

When was the last time you popped the hood open and took a look?

 

Well considering the fact that i dont have a garage and my car is under about 5 inches of snow i can honestly say i have not had a chance to do that yet, im just asking for suggestions on what it may be at this point

 

Starting with the more likely: low clutch fluid, failing slave or master cylinder, bad clutch plate/disc, tranny low on fluid, bad tranny.

 

probably slave or master cylinder.

 

how many miles on the car i had the same problem and i had to replace the clutch and also slave and master
