Default pressing out front hub to change wheel studs?

2 questions.
Does the hub on a 5th gen have to be pressed out to change the wheel studs, and does the bearing HAVE to be replaced if you press it out?

I took it to NAPA who has a machine shop service. They will press it out and back in but they suggested that i change the bearings while its all apart. They say pressing it messes up the races, and my chiltons manual agrees, but i keep hearing from people that they have done it and not changed it so im torn. Especially because i have to do both sides and the bearings are 80 each plus 40 per side to do the pressing.

Any one who has done this pressing and had problems with it please respond and tell me what happened
