Your third runs 60 foot time looked good but it seemed like you slowed down towards the end compared to the other times. If you would of had as good of 1/8 and 1000 foot as you did in the 2nd you would of been in the 14's. It just seems after that good 60 foot you got slower then the other runs. But you would of been in the 14's, like a 14.9 but thats still 14's....

Perhaps you are leaning out on the top of your RPM band ... a fuel pressure riser might help increase your trap and get consistent 14's. (of course with a good launch)

I launch at 5500 and feather the clutch out until most of the wheelspin stops. Usually the rpm stays above 5000 and thats how i've been judging my launch. If the rpm stays above 5k and hooks up descent the car feels good at the launch. Some friends told me it seems like Im not shifting fast enough during the 15sec runs. I dont know but I guess it would be a good idea to check the fuel pressure, any other suggestions? thanks

Check your tire pressure also. That can have a big effect on your mph. If it's too low, especially on street tires, you'll lose top end.

You get wheel hop because your tire pressure is too high for where your leaving in the rpm band, try letting some pressure out and leaving at the same rpm and see if the wheel hop stops...

Good for you! Your cookie is in the mail

Anyway, Those times seem about right, you should be at high 14's with that setup. Plus sitting in line for an hour at Bithlo before you run kinda makes it hard to get in the swing of it.

With tuning and drag radials that hatch is an easy 14.5-14.7 maybe even a 14.4 with an open header run and a 1.9 60'.....never seen an Si run those kinda numbers but...

Take a few things out of the hatch and I think it may help your 60'. WEight transfer is a bitch on stock shocks...plus if you still have the spare, back seat, etc... it throws more weight to the rear at launch. Your times will get better and your trap shows your making decent power. Hit the dyno up with a VAFC and FPR and you should be able to smoothen your power curve and gain some mid range. Try a few different VTEC engagement points....I have mine at 4800 when I thought 55-5700 was ideal for the cams I have....so try a few things and I think your times will improve.

Yes I do drive a B16 and yes a B18c1 is better but he doesn't have a B18 so use your head and try some real advice or don't speak at all. It's not a GSR vs. B16 thread so don't make it into one with your useless comments.

thanks for the advice,(the helpful advice) and I will try some of these things at the track. What tire pressure should I try? My back seat and spare come out when I drive the car at the track. I ordered a fuel pressure reg. and gauge but im not sure if I should buy a VAFC or chip my p30 or something. If you have a Si running 14's but thats pretty rare. And if i wanted a geezer I would of used that motor. Yes a b18c motor is sick but I would only spend the money for that motor if I was building a crex or eg for a one seat race car for the strip. I think EK's are good cars for auto cross and circuit driving. I just want to learn how to drive the car to its full potential instead of buying a motor just because it has ***** and not be able to drive it the way it should be driven. Gotta crawl before you walk!

I dont believe this for nothing.... Are you one of those people that get I/H/E and call it stock still?? Because that doesnt sound stock

Kermit - Lower your front tires to 15 or 20 PSi... I did this (20 PSi) at thet tracks when i ran and i was grabbin like a ****! I drive an 2KSi...i was laucnhing at 4krpms with my tires down to 20PSi
