2003 Expo Sponsors: The Finer Points . . .
I would like to touch on a few things.
Everyone please look to my signature to learn who all of the Expo sponsors are. These companies have stepped forward to help make the expo what is promising to be. We have what looks to be $10,000 in raffle prizes thanks to these companies.
That being the case we are asking everyone look to them first for your purchases and let them know how much we appreciate their help.
This has been brought up because Cobalt Friction Technologies is our one and only brake sponsor for the Expo. They have done a lot for us. Andie donated money to help make the deposit in time, is giving discounts to Expo participants and is also donating product for the raffle. Since we chose to use Cobalt Friction, Carbotech was passed over as a sponsor. Now 2 months before the Expo Carbotech has decided to capitalize on our event by offering participants a discount. A discount is so little compared to what we have asked of our other sponsors and hardly seems fair to them.
The post that Carbotech put up advertising brake specials for the Expo was taken down (not at my request I might add) and I contacted MaddMatt and asked that no more advertising be done by Carbotech as we have not authorized them as a sponsor. The reply was that no more "posts" would be put up in the forum. I will be the first to point out for him that he has instead put his advertisement in his signature. I will now ask that everyone please make note of this and then call Cobalt Friction for all your brake needs. I, nor the other sponsors or Organizers appreciate the idea that a company thinks they can capitalize on our event while not supporting us like the other sponsors have.

I agree with this 100%.
It does not seem fair to allow other companies to take advantage of a marketing opportunity that was created by the Expo sponsors.

Very well put Trey!
I think what you are asking for is very reasonable... it makes sense and it is only fair to the Sponsoring vendors.

Oh god.. For entertainment you all should call carbotech and count the number of times Larry says "****" or some variation of that word within the first two minutes of the conversation. The guy is a horrible business person and a complete *******.
-Dave, who stopped buying from Carbotech when Andie quit.
