b16a's with comptech intake . . .
I dont care what yall say. $365 for Icebox is a lot, and $300 or whatever for the AEM upgrade is still a lot of money for a dang intake.

theb16a2, you losing sleep over this intake? J/k. You can't go wrong with either the Ice box or the AEM.
Waste of money, in my opinion. Alot of the ITR guys have them, but again, with those guys are all about *Bling Bling*. If you are planning on keeping the internal stock, stick with a AEM or Iceman intake. Or do what I did, but a cheap polished intake(without filter) from pep-boys($20) and but the cold air extension from DC sports (for a '99-'00 SI)($85 new) and KN filter online ($32 shipped) and you can have a decent cold-air intake that is nice looking and works. Works for me on a 11.8:1 motor.
However, if you don't care for looks, (I know I gonna get flamed for this) stick with Home Depot intake setup. Yes, I know, alot of computer-nerds claims it give some dangerous vapor and blah, blah, blah.....whatever. But this will work and has been proven many times. Well, here in the the Tampa area alot guys have used this for many years and works. Only from experience.
I have the intake and icebox on my b16a2 and the difference is noticeable. I also have the comptech intake, ctr intake camshaft, and apexi n1 exhaust, which is going to be replaced with the comptech exhaust. The n1 is a piece of junk, not fully stainless piping. Back on topic, the icebox totally quiets the intake, you can't hear the whistling that plagues most intakes. It combines the effectiveness of a short ram and the cool air of a full cold air.
