can someone list the different cars that have the same struts as the 91 crx? or struts u can use on the 91 crx with litle modification, explain how?
thanks

I had some Tokico blues that were from a 99 Si, and I made them fit my 91 CRX. All you need is the front fork from a 92+civic. The back fit just fine. Also the Tokico's were for 94-00 Teg's and 96-00 Civic's.

88-91 Civic/CRX (ED) suspension is all interchangable.
90-93 Integra (DA) suspension is useable without mods, except it's longer.
92-95 Civic (EG/EJ) and 94-01 Integra (DC) suspension fits as long as you use the EG/DC/EK front forks. Again they can be longer then your OEM.
96-01 Civic (EK) suspension fits as long as you use the EG/DC/EK front fork, and grind the rear LCA down so the new rear strut will slide over it.
86-89 Accord and 88-91 Prelude front suspension supposedly fits EDs with no mods, and is a shorter strut.
PS- I've tried none of these.

Most of what Eggman has noted is correct but note that you will only get the proper ride height and spring fit if you do this with a coil-over sleeve system because the factory spring perch locations are generally different and the 92-00 Civic/94-01 Integra front perch is smaller than on the CRX. Generally the rear spring seat perch cup is pretty universal in shape but can be up or down from the stock CRX height. This is all erased of you use a coil-over system.
The 90-93 Integra and 89 era Accord are the only ones that will fit in the stock CRX lower front forks, all others require the larger ID fork from the later car. The 90-93 Integra rear shock is way to long for a CRX but the front will do okay although it is longer in droop travel.
I always wonder why this question is asked so regularly? Is it because people are poor and they will try anything stock and the "beggars can't be choosers" applies? Or is it that all too often people think that becasue it came off an Integra, it is better than CRX or Civic parts (this really drives me nuts)? If you are talking about OE or commodity grade units, they are all basically the same low end crap on the inside of one as the other for each model so there is no real difference. Why not just save a little money to get the right parts for the car rather than bodging something on that sounds good but isn't likely really doing anything better than you had in the first place?
