I put mine inside the cabin.

if you look right at your feet when sitting, there is a gap between the firewall and console (right where the floor vents are). Mounted mine there and there is access to the firewall holes about 6inches away.

nice civic...I mounted my bussy's box inside the cabin behind the lower dash.

there Travis, just sell your skunk2 intake manifold, buy that jg edelbrock manifold from me and you can just re-install your msd box on your firewall,.... perfect!!!

i relocated teh battery to the rear ,then that gave me lots of room for the coil and the igniton
