Is it possible to install a Remote door lock on the 1991 Honda Accord EX?? The reason I'm asking is because you have to pull out the door handle from the inside to lock the door... What is the easiest way to get around this??

first of all, your car have power lock or no?
if your car have factory power lock, adding a keyless entry would be piece of cake.

 

Sorry , yes it has power door locks.... but what about the part about the drivers door where you have to pull on it to lock the door??

you mean when you try to lock the door from outside you have to use your key all the time? because the **** will not go down?

 

No to push the plunger down ... Every Honda that I have had you ha ve to pull the inside handle out then push the lock down....

Maybe all the Hondas I have had were maybe broken??? LOL

yes but if you are sitting in the car with the door closed you can easily push the lock down, the only way you can't is when you have the door open. Honda figured if you had to use your key you'd be less likely to lock it inside, with keyless entry, the button is pushed after you shut the door so the door will lock, and if the door is open my alarm beeps at me telling me the door is open first off, and then the door wont lock anyhow becuase it's open. Actually I have no idea if my key will even work in the lock I've never used it since I got the alarm when I first got my car.

 

same here, i just got an alarm, and i never use the key anymore. keyless entry is very nice. and same with my car, if the door is open, and i try arming it, my car chirps at me, and then usually when i close the door, i set the alarm off cuz of the shock sensor. so then i gotta put the key back in the ignition to reset alarm, and then i just gotta close the door and arm it. but yea, just get keyless entry.

 

I should of known that ... Guess I have never locked the doors when I have beenin the car .... I guess everyone doesn't think every once in awhile LOL

What is a good alarm/keyless entry system (poss a remote start too) How hard is it to get the trunk to be keyless too ?? Would I be able to do the install myself ??

keyless entry and a remote start is easy on a 91. i just put my crimestopper 2006fm in my 91 ex about a month ago. check ebay for crimestopper. that remote start with pager is awsome, i have it and it's great. i can give you all the info i used. the remote start part is really easy. that's the easiest part. write me an e-mail and i'll help ya on whatever you need.
