baking + painting headlights (56k dont even try)
we painted my friend's headlight housings today. we pretty much followed the same process as this guy https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=282131
before:
then they went in the oven....mmmm yummy headlight caserole:

next they got primered:
2 coats of Krylon Ultra Flat black paint later:

reunited with the other half of the light:

outside with the lights on:

another outside shot:

inside, lights off:

it was an all day job, including a trip for pizza, 2 trips to the hardware store and a lot of wasted time. we got some (by some i mean a shitload) of the sealant from the headlights on the covers, but we used goo gone and with some rubbing it came right off.

all you need to complete the look are some 96-98 Square OEM Fogs...

and just for the record, 300 degrees is WAY too much. you're really lucky they didn't melt. don't go over 220.

I just can't seem to pry the suckers apart...how long were they in the oven. 10 minutes?
you can also use a hairdryer.. it just takes a bit longer for it to soften the sealant.
Ok, I'm usually not one to complain, but this topic has been posted up more than enough times now in the past couple of weeks. Quit wasting bandwidth. They still look great though. Good work.

First time posting pictures but I will try it. Just did these today. 96-98 headlights painted gloss black with a primer. Turned out really good but not sure if these photos bring them out.
Sorry about the size of the pictures. If anyone has time you wanna email or post lessons on how to decrease the size of them and yea the car is really dirty and im going to wash it up good tomorrow morning.
