Installation cd changer into Factory location of a 93 accord EX?
I have a alpine cd changer and I want to install it in a 93 accord ex in the factory location. Is the factory location under the roof of the trunk? So the cd changer would be hanging in the air when you open your trunk and the length of the changer would be horizontal. Is there factory holes to install the cd changer or do I need to drill? I was hoping I can just screw in the cd changer into the factory holes instead creating holes in the car. The cd changer is a 6 disk changer alpine not very expensive. Any help or comments would be appreciated. TIA
I'm not sure where the factory location is, but I don't forsee any problems with bolting it to the rear deck lid in the trunk. My friend has an '89 Accord and there was a strap in the side of the trunk that he used for his Sony changer; you may want to consider that location, too.
You should be able to ask a Honda dealership this question they install these all the time. I have the the Honda/Alpine changer myself. I find the CD magazines expensive at $30 a pop.
