Has anyone ever made one of these for the civic/crx? If so, was it electronically controlled or manually controlled? How hard do you think it would be to do this?

 

I plan on doing this to my CRX . I would like an electric cut out but its too expensive so I think im gonna rig up a cable type opener.

Do you know of any companies that sell these electric ones? I mean, you can easily buy those cheap unboltable ones but I'd like a switch for it, personally

 

it wouldnt be hard to do with electronics. Have something like a motor from an rc car, rig some wire to it, have hinges welded to the exhaust cut out and a spring on the flap that puts pressure on it so it closes and when you hit a switch it runs the motor a certain amount puts tension on the wire, pulls the flap open, and youo hit the otherway it reverses it the tension is released and the spring slams it shut. kinda ghetto, but cheap and effective if done properly
