Whats the safest boost for a Z6 intercooled.
what kind of fuel management are you gonna run? with 12:1 fmu and a fuel pump then 8 psi is the max. With smc+ and 450cc injectors 12psi safely. with VAFC hack and 450cc injectors 12safely.
I have seen 12-14 psi on a greddy kit with headgasket on stock motor. but if you gonna be running a bigger kit or custom kit ?? those damn stock cast piston ring glands are like brittle plastic just cracks off.
yes they have the greddy black box or blue box.. what ever its called.! it is a nice street unit for a lil extra Hp. just get a fuel system upgrade like a intank pump and hopefully all goes well..!
26psi with 2000cc injectors and a DSM ecu.
search, search and search again. This topi comes up almost every day.
No matter what internals you have, your turbo setup is alway's based on your fuel management.............................its your # 1 limiting factor. Just because you spent $3000 on parts don't mean that excessive lean conditions won't melt the **** out of things.
When I blew my motor the summer past (poor fuel management) I also did some heat damage to my head. I diden't realize this until I blew the new HG after the rebuild and took the head off and examined it.
Just remember, playing with a turbo is like playing with fire if you don't know what it can do.

he was joking (i hope).
scratch the greddy piggy back... get some dsm 450s and an SMC, you'll be set for 10 psi
Well a friend of mine runs 9psi not intercooled with the stock injectors and the piggyback.Sorry don't know much about injectors and aftermarket ecus. What is DSM and SMC.

damn is your friend running maxing out his injector duty cycle?
im currently running stock block w/greddy kit, dsm smic, dsm 1g bov, rc 310s, aem fpr, walbro 255 intank. i'm on 7psi daily rite now. once i get my new plugs and retard the ignition timing a bit im confident i could safely run 8. i've hit like 10 by accident before but i got off of it right away. as long as you dont get crazy and take care of your fuel u should be okay. having a motor thats in good shape doesnt hurt either

Why don't people just answer the question, I can see the need for questions about engine management but come on, safely 8psi for every day driving of coure well tuned, you can take it up t0 12psi or about 220whp but do it only when needed and make sure its well tuned..
