maximum tires on stock Integra fenders
After calculating my gear ratios with my power i have come to realize there is no way my 24.5 slicks are gonna cut it unless i get rid of my Y21 trans. i dont want to get rid of the trans so my next logical step is to increase tire diameter. My problem is that i want to keep my factory fenders. I absolutly dont want to deal with a fiberglass front end. Is there any way i can run 26 x 8's or 8.5's under the stock sheetmetal. I am thinking it wont but what do you guys think about actually cutting the fenders. Is this pathetic or has anyone thought of this? Function before form i guess.
trim the fender. you probably will get the 25" under them but not a 26". just do alittle trimming and be careful.
*trimming your fender will not be legal in the NHRA street class(for those that care.)

thanks Jinx, so you think no chance i can get 26's in there. What if i mess with backspacing, im planning on buying a set of Bogarts and i havent placed the order yet.
I dont think ill pass for street so im cool with trimming fenders

you can also cut the factory fenders and add on fender flares to get the extra clearance and also to help enclose the slick from out side exposure...
We fit 25's on a third gen integra no prob, 26's will fit by trimming the fenders. Hell I fit 25's on my crx with out cutting the fenders. Jason

JAson you might remember this car, i messed around a few times at Cecil with it and i remember seing you there. I remember one even when you qualified first and i was 2nd then it got rained out like 2 years ago.
Thanks for the help guys but i have one more questions. What backspacing would you use to fit them in there. I was thinking like a 5" backspace but others are available.

i have been contemplating using 26"(goodyears) as well.the only thing is,i am going to have to borrow them to try unless someone says yeah, they will work.to the people that have used them, did you have any serious rub and what offset wheels did you use?i have 15" bogarts with alot of backspacing so i really don't think they will work.
we have a set of 26"'s on an ek at the shop and the fender has to be trimmed. im doubt the integra has that much more room..
i ran the bogart pro 4 15x8.5. as far as backspacing it came with a welded on spacer. it took forever for those things to come in. you cant run the car slammed . you gotta raise it up . but mine cleared just fine even at big end 140mph plus with tire growth it seemed to be ok. but i have my suspesnsion dialed in perfect so that always helps. ive seen people with 26s that rub the tires during breaking after making a run. its all how you set the car up. good luck
Well i jsut ordered a set of front and rear bogarts with 26 inch Goodyears for the front. Ill let you guys know how they fit. Hopefully they with fit under the sheelmetal with out the use of shears.
BTW Exospeed has kick *** pricing for Goodyears and Bogarts.
