Default Question for those who have gone to Discount Tire

I just ordered a set of falken azenis sports.

I was wondering if it's worth it to do discount tire's computer ride match? I know the treadlife on azenis is shortlived, so I was wondering if the extra 50$ is even worth it. Does the computer ride match just help on treadlife or is there more to it?

Also, do you guys think it is worth the 50$ to purchase the tire replacement deal? I intend to autox somewhat, and I was wondering if azenis have gone bad/defective from racing for anyone?

tia

I would just stick to a good mount and balance. The other stuff is almost pure profit for Discount Tire.

I bought my Azenis from there. I wouldn't recommend the replacement plan, as you won't have the tires long enough for it to matter. The best thing about getting the tires from there, on a daily driver of course, is free lifetime balancing. With only 1 or 2 auto-x's a month, most of my tires' life is just street driving. I like to balance them every 2 months, simply because I can for free. Added to that, I just purchased a lifetime alignment for $150. Looks like I'll be checking my alignment alot more now (I'm a poor college kid, have to think long-term cheap!).

Unfortunately, Discount Tire doesn't do alignments. They only do tire work. I suppose that a local shop could do that, but I believe all the sites are set up identically (no alignment rack).

Many unspecailty auto shops do the lifetime alignment.
