speaker wire for rear speakers in hatch?
i have a 94 cx hatch. doesn't have stock speakers... but i am wondering if there are already wires ran? or do i have to add some wires.. and where do i connect em so that they are hooked to the same wire that is hooked up in the clip on the radio. thanks...
I have a 93 Cx and the rear is gutted. I didn't see any speaker wires for rear speakers. I do however plan to add some 6 1/2's or something back there
I believe there are some threads covering rear speakers in EG hatches. I'll look BRB!

well after i ran my own wire. i ended up stripping every peice of interior. and once the carpet and back seats came out, there is stock wire. it is ran all down the drivers side. then some of it goes straight and is just wound up in a ball and tapped up at the bottom, and then some wire runs across the front of where the back seat goes, and then on the passenger side it is bundled up the same way. not a big deal, but i figured i would just post it and let it be known for anybody in the future that may come acroos this question. the correct answer is out there now!!! thanks for all of your help everybody. i have a 94 cx hatch back by the way, i figure that all hatches are this way... if the don't have stock rear speakers.
it's prewired for the rear speakers. well my '92 CX was anyhow.
You gotta pull out the whole rear panel...the wires/plug are taped together to the bottom of the 1/4 panel hollow. You can't really get to them without taking out the whole panel.

They should be pre-wired. The wires should be chilling on the floor attatched with a zip tie right near the seatbelt. There's a stock connector that plugs right into OEM speakers. This is of course in my 1993 DX hatchback.
I'll have to check my 93 Cx (Canadian model) and see if there are wires. Don't recall seeing any when I stripped the interior. Would be nice if they are there
Both the 93 VX and the 92 CX I've done sound in had the wiring. Just fish your hand around in the hole until you feel the little pair of wires...usually taped down sometimes ziptied. Pull em up and install some speakers, bro.
Cool, I'm going to look for them in my '94 VX.
Anyone know the model number of the stock rear panels (DX, Si, etc.) I'll need to replace my stock ones?
