Some BS wiring issues on my GSR.
Aight, I swapped a b18c into my civic coupe a few months back. I just got around to wiring in the IAB. I dont htin kit did anything. Actually it may have but i dont hink its working now.
Tonight i went out cruising, and i lost to a bone stock 240. I was pissed. I get down into my ecu and see that my ECU pin for my IAB was all the way in. Apparently there are different types of pics for different applicatiions? I ran the wire to a17.
So RIGHT after that happens. I no longer get VTEC at 4500 and now i hear a tone change similar to VTEC around 6000 were the secondary butterflies should be opening.
My coupe is not nearly as fast as the other coupes i have bene in with the same exact swap. I lost to a ******* stock 240 and a prelude tonight for christ sake.
My firend has a GSR integra i race him a few nights ago and pulled a good distance on him, Tonight we run and i am hard pressed to pull inches on him. shifting EXACTLY when he did side by side. So when i disconnect the IAB wire i stert getting VTEC at 4500 again.
Guys i dont know what the ****. I know i need new spark plugs and imma get those tomorrow. but i know thats completely unrelated. Also i was NOT low on oil.
i dont know WHAT THE **** is going on. I would appriate any help,

what model of coupe? i know the EX should come prewired if you use a gsr engine harness, with the EX harness you have to do some rewiring, or better yet extending wires.
i was changing a engine harness for my cousin a few months back and he has a dx HB with a gsr engine, i can quite remember which wire i hooked up, but everything works perect until i blew his secong gear racing a ITR.

I esed the EX wiring harness and ran wires for the knock sensor and just ran the wire IAB and i thought it was working. Last night, i pulled it out and and it wasnt hardly in place. So i pushed it in further and drove off. Atthat point iw as not getting a VTEC tone change untill 6 grand, Either it was my VTEC kicking late. Or my SEcondaryes and i have no VTEC. i dont know whats happening.

just because he said he is bone stock dosent mean it is.
and you should hear a VERY audible change at 5700 with the butterflies open.
vtec turns on at 4400 then the IAB's work at 5700.

Yes, The secondaries opening was very audiable. but no vtec tone change or and extra power from vtec for that matter.. And i know the guy with the 240 intake and a glass pack is all he has....
