The line running off the VTEC solenoid should be green with a yellow stripe... I don't really understand your question tho, what exactly are you trying to do? From the ECU end on a nonOBD car it will be pin A8, OBD1=A4, and OBD2a=A8, sorry i don't work with OBD2b if that's what you would need... A little more info from you will help... Latez

thanks for the response it helped out a lot....my scenario was a real mind blower but here it is in full detail:

my engine is OBDII, car is OBDI. i was throwing a code of the evap system (im thinking it had something to do with the fact my ecu was OBDII and it just didnt sit well with it). upon further inspection of my ecu and wiring i noticed that i had OBDII wiring from the gsr motor with the connectors AND the original dx harness and connectors from the civic...thats right someone spliced the wires they needed from the DX harness over to the GSR harness....SO with that said i went out and bought a p28 ECU that i had mugen chipped (OBDI). Now here was the brain teaser....in order to make the DX harness work i had to grab all the wires it was missing (aka all the VTEC wiring) and plug them into the DX harness. i then used the extra wiring and harness from the OBDII and spliced that into the original as well (the ones that i needed.) In the end all came out good, no more check engine light, a p28 mugen chipped OBDI ecu, and my power is back! yes it was a mess, yes it took me 4 hours to complete, but its done and it works! so in case anyone else has any problems there you go.

Did you take pics of where all the vtec wires connect to the engine / ECU?
I have an OBD2 GSR motor (1998) and about to drop it into my 93 Cx (Canadian model) and just would like to know exactly where each wire goes.

Thanks!

I made this diagram a couple weeks ago for a guy that needed to convert his EG for a single pin to a 4 pin heated oxygen sensor... I also showed my way of wiring and I'm pretty sure it's what you are talking about... On your CX interior wiring harness you'll find all the empty sockets in the connectors under the hood, those are for your missing VTEC, VTEC press, KS, and most likely your MAP wiring... Let me know if you need anything else.... Peace
