peice of b16 tranny.. what is it?
It's the release arm and you can probably get a new one. It comes off very easy. You have to take it off when replacing the throwout bearing or realease spring. So when you take that arm off you will also be taking off the release fork, spring, and throwout bearing.
no offense please. but u aren't doing the work are u? as i think you should do more research on your car/engine/tranny. have a friend that knows nearby
hmm.. i typed this fast.. anyway..
Yea i obviously knew it was attached to the transmission. The clutch cable attached to it so... yea it engages and disengages the clutch.. my question is... what IS it called... That way my friend or I can order a new one..
Maybe i made my question sound stupid by the way i wrote it, but yea the question was... what was it called.
Oh yea.. thanks beta and bryant.

Just so you know, if the trans is still attached and you take out that bolt and just pry the arm off, everything inside will probably fall off. So you MUST have the trans apart from the engine when replace that part.

Mmm it looks like some sort of U-shaped device attached to one point by a single bolt and it seems it can be moved up and down?
But I don't know what it is.. start-kicker maybe?
