whats better Ls or gsr with turbo???
GSR is better. Stronger internals, better flowing head, higher redline. Offset by better gearing in a LS (better for turbo) and in the GSR you have to be careful about tuning due to highers compression. But the higher compression will help turbo spool faster.
ok i was asking around. people say a stock Ls turbo will rape a stock gsr turbo. can u guys tell me whats really up.
haha.... just the gearing in the ls is better for turbo because its longer and maybe the lower compression might make it safer, but it would get owned by the gsr turbo.

and yes, stock for stock, turbo for turbo, GSR>LS.

lets just put it this way. the ls has 140hp and the gsr has 180.
gsr has 170.
gsr has 170.
so much misinformation
first off which turbo kit makes a difference.
Your running on a stock engine, so chances are you are going to be in the 7-8psi neighborhood.
A smaller turbo is going to spool faster, and have a broader powerband. That is a huge advantage.
B18B has lower compression ratio which means its safer to run more boost with out reenforcing the internals. (assuming its proper tuned of cource)
The LS transmission is not better for boost unless you are dealing with tons of boost (probably more than 20psi), which you won't do on a stock transmission.

You slap a Turbo on an Integra LS, and you slap a Turbo on as Integra GS-R, I gaurantee you the GS-R would win.
LS Turbo is good because its cheaper and you can boost more because of the low compression. Get the facts straight.

the only reason that an LS would be better for turboing than a GSR is because of its lower compression. besides that, the gsr is better in every way. the "LS's tall gearing is better for turbo" myth needs to stop.

it depends on the set up. what size turbo???? stand alone or fmu???? tuned or not. stock for stock, the gsr is a better motor, but the ls can hang as well. equal setups, a gsr on 6lbs and a ls on 8lbs, its going to be a good race....thats based on my experiances....both motors are great for boost, just have different capabilities.
