Default Just got an alignment

What exactly is involved in the alignment process beyond resetting the steering column to on-center?

I recently got an alignment and the car feels like it's on rails when turning! Do they adjust camber/toe-angle as well?

Thanks and sorry for the n00b question

yeah generally that phrase means high traction, quick response, and low body roll.

for the 88-91 civic/rex the camber,caster isn't adjustable

they would have only adjusted the toe

yes, alignments are good... it's amazing how many people overlook things such as this when maintaining a vehicle.

how much is a camber kit and what is involved in putting one on?

in addition, if you have this sort of aftermarket addition, is this something an alignment place would know to adjust and know HOW to adjust?

Camber kits usually run around $100. After you get one installed, you definatly need an alignment to get it adjusted. If you just put camber kit and you dont adjust it, you could be shredding your tires

i got an ingalls kit for $130... they are the best imo... they are very simple to put on... the new adjustable anchor bolts replace the old ones on your upper control arm... and if the place you are having your car aligned doesn't know how to adjust a camber kit, then i'd have second thoughts about letting them align my car
