Default Help!! I dodnt pass my cali smog check... please help

Ok, I passed visual!!! But not the tail pipe. I am running rich, a little at idle, and even more at higher rpm. Could it be my 02 sensors. Anyone have this problem? Where should I buy the 02 sensors at? Any input whatsoever would be appreciated. Help. Ryan

PS, he said it was my fuel that was my problem, so thats whay I assumed o2's. They are the factory ones from my engine. Can I use a o2 from my d16a engine?

More info needed. What numbers did you get ont he print out? Did you go to a smog only place or did you go to a mechanic that works on cars and does smog checks? They like to rip you off... say you need this and that fixed when there is nothing wrong just so you can pay them to fix the car.

Your "fuel" can't be the problem. Something on the engine is the problem IF there is really something wrong. If the fuel was the problem then you should go back to the gas station and ask for a full refund and sue them for selling fuel that is not SMOG compatible.

What octane gas were you running? You SHOULD be running the LOWEST octane you can buy for smog checks. How well maintained is the car? any maintenance done recently? spark plugs... air filter... timing... blah blah blah. More info!!!!
