Changed out some parts and now my car runs too cool, can it do that?
Ok, I got my car used as most of us do, and it had a POS OBX short ram intake with a some metal mesh filter that could not have filtered very good at all. So I got a used AEM CAI from a HT member. The car also need a bunch of maintenece work, like plugs, wires, t-belt, water pump, fuel filter, etc.. So I got in on a group buy for some NGK wires and plugs.
So the othe rnight went to put on what I had already bought. So I put in my colder copper NGK plugs, NGK wires, and AEM CAI. Now my car is running good, and feel much more peppy. However, the car wont get to normal temps. The car hovers right around the point where its warm enough for Vtec, but then drops below that temp at times too. So one minute my car will be warm and able to go into Vtec, and then next it wont because Im going to fast and cooling off the engine so it wont let me. Im thinking the thermostat my be stuck open, but Im not sure I was hopeing someone here could help me out. Also I live STL, and its been cool here lately but by no means cold, I think the coldest day lately has been in the 30's. If you guys have any Q's for me to help in figuring this out let me know and Ill be able to help.
Regards
