I mean stock, no turbo, std intake, std TB, std B16a1 cams, std head, std pistons not stock with 40 psi blown into it
i hit a 13.7 with cams, springs, retainers, i/h/e. and that was a crappy run in my opinion. now with individual throttle bodies i'm working on my 12's with a stockb16 botom end.
i think they have missed the point Chuck.but hey, at least i know you have achieved your NA 13 second pass on a STOCK B16A with LOTS of hard work, not a open cheque book...
david..
well I happen to run mid 13's with my B16a , all I have done is raised rev limiter , CTR cams , springs and retainers Type-R intake manifold . Runs strong I just need to get cams , but I'm bulding a B20 when I get back from the Gulf

i havent run the 1/4 yet but i have a b16 with i/h/e and a fuel system. and my times for the 1/8th are in my sig. my problem is that i have a full race clutch in it with a light weight flywheel. so on street tires i spin way to much and it raises my speed but slows my et. hope this give a little help.
local car (86 crx) with b16 STOCK transplant ran 12.74 year before last, but that car was 1800 lbs. with driver...the horsepower is just not there without the mods, not to mention torque to get anything with weight off the line.
i ran 13.98 in a >2570 lb. 91 EX but had itr cams & intake manny with ctr pistons...

getting a b16a into the 13 is easy. just drop it into a civic or crx. put some slicks and maybe a few bolt ons you will there no problem..you dont need as much as some people might think. i had a 94 jdm b16a in a eg before. all stock with the exception of cam gears, ram air, and chipped ecu, and normal 4-2-1 dc header. the car ran 13.1@103.86mph in feb of 1998 2000 lbs with driver.
the only good thing about b16 they are a dime a dozen. try pushing one to the limit if it lets go 600 bucks for another motor.
my point is that unless you have a 1200 lb car you are going to have to spend some money to run a 13 second E.T with a B16a
