You dip your oil with the engine running?????? Why???????????
The oil is still circulating in the sump when the engine is running, and its hot and a certain amount of oil is going to get burned and so the fumes escape when you pull out the dip stick.

Vapour coming out of the dipstick hole is normal when the oil it hot. It just the crankcase vapour escaping. Buring oil smell could be the vapours too or just some oil dripping onto the exhaust manifold. If you have had a oil change done recently some oil maybe dripping onto the exhaust pipe from whe the filter was taken off... it should burn off in a little while provided that the new filter is not leaking.
