Default F20c vs. B18c and c 5

Was does the S2000 motor ($4,000) sell for less than the ITR ($5,400)? Because of the placement of the motor making swaps much harder?

Because less people have a use for a F20C motor.

If someone came out with a kit to allow you to bolt F20Cs into EGs/DCs/EKs, you can bet the price of F20C's would skyrocket.

They put a F20C in a AE86 (86-89 Corolla).

Signal Auto has an EK with a NSX motor with TWM ITBS using Motec. Its also FWD. The car is ugly as hell.

because the s2000 is RWD, if someone was to buy a s2000 motor, its gonna be expensive because you have to convert it to RWD, that would be interesting tho

There is a company that has designed new bell housings that allow an F20C to bolt up to a K20A transmission. It is intended for use in the Lotus Elise/Exige, but it might just allow for a DC5/EP3 F20C swap.

Except the manifold is facing the wrong way, right into the power steering pulley.

Couldn't you use an accord 5-spd tranny from the old F series and use that? Then get the hubs for the axles?

Except you'd have 5 reverse gears and 1 forward

We've recently purchased this 3000 mile old Honda F20C engine (S-2000) that will be coupled to the 6 speed limited slip trans from the new K20A. This is Honda's top line performance engine, producing 240HP,and redlined at 9000 RPM is the highest revving production engine ever built. After finishing the new Lotus Elise - Honda K20A conversion kit, the engineering will commence on the F20C conversion. This will be a more substantial project, as it will require a completely new casting for the bell-housing end of the trans. Prototype Racing will produce this casting, fully machined, for anyone desiring to mate the F20C engine to the K20A trans.
from the site the pic is from. that'd be awesome, wonder if they'll sell the casting seperately.
