Doubt it. B20/VTEC swaps have been around for longer than most think.

 

from my understanding b20/vtecs came around about three years ago....
this is how long one of my buddies has been running it and i get the impression he was with the lead of the pack.

IT's a shame that he's building these perfect cars and yet all the biters and haters ruin anyone's ability to enjoy them. That is a well-turned out Honda--period.

He has a dope green S13 Sylvia conversion now. I'm sure plenty of people will diss that, too.

Why do we even bother doing anything to our cars anymore??? Someone is just going to hat on it, bite it, or steal it!!!

 

agreed, but i feel mainly its jealousy. people rip on his red rim thingy, but that is what has got him so well known, and maybe that's why people rip on it. i dunno, i personally cant hate on any ride that is as dope as the ones he's made.

That teg is a perfect car, but just because it cost 35k to build, doesn't mean it's worth that. I appreciate the worth that went into it, but cars like that should be built for love, not profit.

I'd probably orgasm seeing it, but if I'm paying 35k for a car, I'll buy something more exotic.

 

dood, no way that car cost 35K to build.....not even close...i'm sure jay got most of the parts for very cheap because of his hook ups....even if one of us set out to build an exact duplicate of that car, it still wouldnt come close to 35K...

I dunno, though. Spot welding everything, good paint job, all of those top shelf parts, built motor...

Sure, maybe his cost wasn't that high (point taken) but I know I'd never be able to duplicate it for much cheaper. Christ, when I think of the money I've dropped into my Si, which is a mildly built car (and I or friends did most of the labor), I can't imagine doing something that major.

 

for the price of jay's ride u can ship over a real RHD JDM DC2 R with tons of money left over
