Crx with B16 using hasport mounts
max rev manifold
pwr civic radiator
compressor on the drivers side
Right now I have the compressor on the passenger side and things are really cramped on that side of the bay because of my air/water intercooler. I want to flip the turbo around to get the intake of the turbo into the fresh air and give me a little more room to make the bend out of the turbo into the intercooler.
My main concern is that the radiator won't be narrow enough to allow the turbo to clear it. The way that the max rev manifold is made seems like it will put the turbo forward quite a bit from where it sits now and if the radiator isn't narrow enough there will be serious fitment issues. I'm also thinking that I might have downpipe issues if I try to go with a 3". I think farnsocket has his set up this way and I'm wondering if i have less clearance than he does.
yeah yeah, my engine is grounded wrong and the second pic sucks.

hahahah, you grounded wrong.....hehehe
I have a civic radiator, the stock one...it gives plenty of room as it is..
if you need more room, you can always move the AC a lil farther from the turbo by removing the spot welds on the bottom bracket and re-weld it a lil further

do you have the dual core or the single?
I have the single (bought online without thinking
) and am wondering if I should just keep it, or sell it and get a dual.

my friend had the del sol VTEC dual core on his GSR turbo in his EG. with just the half length civic radiator he had some overheating problems but everything stayed cooled after he got the dual core. the dual core is slightly thicker (ok, duh) but it gives u plenty of room on the driver side for your manifold/turbo/wg.
oh yea, both the single and dual core have the same mounting points so whichever one you choose, you will have to make the same modifications to ur rex anyway.
good luck with your car
