I found out that a standard 4th gen H23A pumps out 160hp.
How much does it put to the wheels!??!?! I can't find this info anywhere!

Reason I am wondering is because I have found a place here (in Aus) that does NOS kits (YAY! They aren't popular here cause it isn't legal for street use) and they are claiming that they put a 92 Prelude Si (H23A) on the dyno and got 160hp at the wheels using a 65 shot with stock internals. I now nothing about NOS, so does this sound about right?
Anyone know what this would give me down the strip? I am hoping to lower my 0-60 times to about 7seconds...

Well, figuring a 15% loss through the drivetrain, that comes out to be kinda weak.

 

A 65 shot should take off about 1 second from your ET.

 

160 whp - 65 shot = 95 hp..... somehow that just dosent sound right. was that on an auto box? i mean damn... my saturn put more to the wheels than 95 whp.

Thats the thing though... I want to know what kind of whp I can expect from a stocker.
I asumed that the guy tested it on a manual. It was a shop, and he (apparently) had a dyno of a H23A prelude that he gave a 65 shot to. Maybe he was BSing me the results and unerestimated the power of a stock prelude!!!

I want to know what whp a stock H23A lude puts out!!

 

The stock H23A1 should put out anywhere from 130-140 WHP.

 

That sounds about right.
