Integra 6 pt Roll bar options
I have an integra RS and I've looked at many a thread on roll bars. No bars one street cars etc.
WEll is it feasable to get a 4pt and have the other 2 welded to my spec's(closer to ceiling and roofline(to keep away from my head) just a thought i had
Any ideas?? Also then i could keep it street legal, but wveryone says no roll ages in street cars

you dont want a full cage in a daily. when that socker mom hits you in her excursion cause she's on the cellfone, the last thing u would want is to hit your head on the roff bars. u may think with a super low seating posittion and the bars tucked high u wont, but u definately can. the stock seatbelt has plenty of give in it to allow such an impact. and driving with a harness everyday just sucks, not to mention isnt safe on the street ebcause you can't moove your body to see things. ie-lean fwd to see past that parked car so u can make a left out into traffic. a rollbar is all u'll need. i too have an autopower 4point and its all i wanted. i know if i had a cage i'd hit my head on it cause i have hit my head on teh door frame at autocroses with wierd mid-corner dips/bumps.

If you are referring to the 'Capital Beltway Fatal' item, a cage wouldn't have made much of a difference, from what I read:
the deceased driver had been traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of I495 for several miles before striking the rear of a tractor trailer, loosing control, and hitting another car head on.
A cage wouldn't have prevented that fatal. If your intention is to get a rollbar for track use, great. It will help protect you in a rollover. It will help to stiffen up the rear of the car.
BTW, I would have to disagree with you. I have seen plenty of cars rolled on the street. The a-pillar usually doesn't fail. I am a fireman in CA.

Here are some pics of the 6 point OMP cage (FIA approved) that is a bolt in unit. I use it my "track" car (HPDE and Solo 1 only)- I wanted to keep full interior cause I like it that way. OMP makes pads for the front bars and getting in/out of the car is not affected cause I'm not using door bars.
It make quite a bit of difference in terms of chassis rigidity. The seats I use OMP (Grip Carbon/Kevlar) do not require seatback braces. The rear crossbrace is removable - or you can orient it in the other direction if you think it makes a difference (i dont besides - it would render your rearview mirror useless if you did). You can add doorbars if you like - but they don't come with the kit. Some trimming of the dash is needed. I have a custom seat mount for the driver side so I sit lower than the passenger btw. The "cage" was powdercoated gunmetal gray before installation. All mounts use custom 1/4" steel backing plates.
I HAVE A HARNESS BAR NOW (pics do not show harness bar- they were taken right after the cage install)

Thats one of the better boltin designs I've seen. I like that it ties to the rocker sills and goes through the dash - two of my biggest issues with the Autopower that I had.
