Default What amp(s) should I use to power my setup?

I have an Alpine 7875 HU, Infinity Kappa Perfect components, two Infinity Kappa 6x9 in the rear, and two infinty kappa perfect 10 subs. I am pretty clueless when it comes to audio, Can I use the HU to power some of the speakers instead of an amp? What amp can power the two 10's well? And should I get an amp for the components, if so which one?

You can use the headunit to power your highs and an amp to power your subs. Or you can use an amp to power your highs and your subs (5 channel amp). Or you can use 2 amps, one to power the highs and one for the subs.

I have a soundstream amp 6 channel amp and love it.

personally I would go with two amps...one for the highs and one for the subs...when I hooked up my amp to my speakers it was a night and day difference in sound quality....I went from a headunit that claims 50 x4 which everyone knows isnt happening to an amp that puts out and under rated 60 x 4
though other people say just to amp your fronts and run the rear off the deck as fill..

I also would recommend two separate amps for your setup. One four channel amp for the front and rear speakers and a two channel or mono block amp for your subs. By doing this setup, you will have much better power distribution and increased sound quality as well.

Not to be rude, but you have spent alot of money on your perfects. Give them the power they deserve. I recommend a 4 channel and a mono amp. If you want to save a little money right now, get a 4 with about 75 watts per channel that is capable of 300+ watts bridged. Run 2 channels for the front and the last channel to the subs. Rears can run off the HU.

You will get better answers on specific models if you give a budget.
