"HID over priced and gay"
he's somewhat making a point.
I have hella hid in my car, it's bright and all that but
why spend so much on retrofitting and stuff??(beside the
basic fact that it will be brighter)

ive never been in a situation where the stock headlights on my car didnt provide sufficient light.....im really sick of people blinding me with their HIDs they act like theyve never seen street lights....unless you live in a really rural area where theres no street lamps....theres no reason to have them.

I think its a great idea since Im doing the same thing. and yes I cant see **** at night. and the whole point of doing it this way, is that its not just throwing in some hid kit and blinding everyone, it's doing it the right way.

I got my AUDI A6 OEM HID kit for $375 shipped. Installation was a 3 day project and it was a bitch but the final output is way worth it:

BTW: OEM HID will not blind oncoming traffic once adjusted correctly.

I do alot of night interstate driving (no street lights, but you can't use high beams because of oncoming traffic), therefore the HID is worth it for my safety.

lol.. retrofitting isnt a waste of time..

for 1, its WAY better lighting

for 2, its mostly ALWAYS cheaper than buying an "HID kit"

i bought my BMW projectors w/ OEM osram bulbs for $300, and now i have OEM BMW lighting, vs. spending $450+ on just a kit and having just better than halogen lighting..

I would buy an aftermarket Projector housing for your Fifth Gen then swap out those projectors for D2S Projectors.

Guess there's no canyons where you live? HID are perfect for late night canyon runs. Not to mention the toll roads I always take...

true that.. HID only becomes a waste if u buy anything above 4300K.. all those stupid blue or purple HID kits are terrible for bad weather driving.. when i drive in the rain with my BMW HID's i can actually still see my lights on the ground and reflecting off road reflectors.. which i couldnt do with halogens..
