since there is better flow in the intake manifold, wouldn't it be more beneficial to suck in more air w/ a bigger throttle body?

you'll lose velocity by having too large of a TB, if you're running mild modifications go with 62mm-65mm nothing larger.

cams would be a better investment in the beginning.

Ok. I'm getting a Skunk2 Intake Manifold and an ITR AEM CAI soon. Should I just use my stock TB or buy a bigger one?

skunk2nR-
your mods would benefit from a 62-64mm TB, but it is not necessary. The $400 you would spend it not gonna be a world of difference but every little bit helps. I have similar mods ( http://www.g2ic.com/members/premier/redstargsr ) and the tb helped it pull a little harder up top w/ little to no bog on the low end. you do not need a new tb, but it would help a little if you got the change.

A skunk IM is great for high end, but not really for low end. Skunk2nR, you might want to consider getting your GSR IM port and polished and portmatched to your head. Get your head P and Ped also and youll keep a good mid range and a good top end. Skunk IM is nice for a GSR but high end is high end and will wear the engine faster.

I contacted Ericks racing about porting and polishing the intake manifold. Erick informed me that it will make 0 hp.
