Hey guys. Thought I might share our CRX buildup with you. Its a project between my friend and I. We started will a 91 CRX DX and have since installed a fresh SI engine and tranny, soon to be turbocharged. The car looked pretty shitty when we bought it, but after choosing a mild kit and carbon fiber hood, we were confident that it could and would be a good looking ride. The wheels are being sold in favor of a set of 16 inch slips with polished lip, so if anyone wants those K1s, PM me.

Keep in mind, these are progress pics. The bumper was pretty much just sitting up there for the pics. Same with the hood. All the bodykit pieces need lots of subtle tweaks here and there before I'll be satisfied. I know a lot of you don't like kits, but Jay wanted to do something a little different with the car and I think that this mild kit will look really good when finished. (Not to bad considering it was purchased about 5 weeks ago.) Comments welcome.

Oh yeah, the car (Including under interior, hatch, inner door panels and EVERYTHING.) will be painted black with a generous coat of Dupont clear.

Doood! Those are the BEFORE pictures. We bought the car all shitty looking. Read the rest of it, we're still working on it and should be finished next week. Shiny black...pritty pritty!

You can always paint or powdercoat the K1's if they're in good shape. But its coming along nicely and will look damn good I'm sure.

 

Hey guys. Thinking about installing black projectors, black corner lights and either clear tails or smoked tails. Opinions? Jay thinks it might be too much black...but I dunno.

 

Anybody got opinions on the lights?

That car is going to be sick. I would deffinitely go with black projectors and tinted tails- If its going to have a turbo, and if its going to be fast- make it as dark and evil as possible. No goofy graffics, no bling wheels, just 100% evil.

It came with the gay *** bodykit. Pretty nice, eh? The kit just came out. I got it from Gay *** Fiberglass out of California. It's super, thanks for asking.

LOL! Not really. Their bodykit wasn't exactly as thick as I expected it to be. I've seen better. Oh well. Its good enough for the beater!

its alright ...nothin like a project rex.good thing the paint is gone,talk about old sckool mini truckin'.however i would have baught a jdm front end instead .....but thats just me.cant wait to see the finished product!!!!!!
