Default Damn, I knew i shouldnt have tried to install my vtec controller

This shiot is hard as hell!!! Ive pretty much messed up my ecu adapter harness. The worst part is trying to tie all the wires together....Hmmm maybe i should have used butt connectors instead of the connectors that are supplied...Is that a better idea anyway??? But id rather go through this than pay my local shop 400 bucks. for me

Cut off all of those stupid connectors that came with the unit. Solder all of the connections for the best connection. Some people use those metal crimp tubes and get them to work fine. Use heat shrink wrap over the connected wires.

that's ok ... just take your time and you'll get the hang of soldering. Did you try doing it on some test wires prior?

all you have to do is make sure you heat the wire up.. put a little solder on the tip, place on wire, and touch solder to opposite side of wire. This makes sure you don't have a cold solder joint (which tend to brake or make sucky contact). Not much to it.

argh, ok i forgot to log out of my brother's name again.. once again it's rjr162

and to think this all could have been avoided if you would have asked or performed a search... there have been several informative post that basically make the installation idiot proof... i posted one a couple months ago with diagrams and all.. good luck.

Default .

PLEASE dont just twist them and tape them.

the vafc is highly sensitive to ressistance. a good solid connection is very important.

Well i finally got the wires goin to the right places when i got home today. It wasnt as bad as i thought...Just frustrating when you attempt it the first time. I also used the settings that "ARAX" listed on his site (very helpful info), the vtec comes engages too early but im not goin to touch it untill i hit the dyno. Thanks to all those who were helpful on here

Try to get all of your HP mods done, then hit the dyno for the tune. Good to hear that you solved your issues...
