i know you wont beable to give exact answers but i was running a 22x8 slick last year and well i was spinning them so i decided to go to the 24.5x8.5. i was just wondering how much you think it will change my 1/4 e.t. and mph?

 

you have two fundamental factors: 1) more traction from more contact patch, i.e lower e/t and 2) longer final drive ratio, i.e. slightly less acceleration (but more traction) ...

with only 250whp you going to drop the mph but gain et you will get 12's with it

if i was you i would get 13/8.5/22's

 

it also depends on how old the slicks you have are...and how they are kept when not in use...if you don't take care of them the chemical compound will dry up, making the slicks less likely to hook up.

 

what is the best way to keep them stored?

i think youll see a big diff, im getting the same slicks for my itr this year, ther 8x22's sucked ***

 

keep them in a warm place where they are not extremely cold in winter then warmed up then cold again ... dont leave them on thec ar wihtout air either.

i have more than 250 hp that is just the numbers from the last time i went to the dyno, i have upgraded my turbo and a few other things plus i have the nx ntercooler which took me from a 13.4 to a 13.0 and added 3 mph on the 1/4. i havent run with the new turbo or a few other things yet.

 

hmmm, so you like the Nter cooler. sounds like it was worth it , but was kinda weary on it .

 

We picked up about 6 mph with that change but have no idea how it will effect your set-up
