my car has alot of road noise!
when a car is dropped and the wheels tilt in an inward angle, can that cause road noise. I'm having trouble getting rid of this noise i have in my 99 hatch. I was thinking that maybe it could be from my molded mugen side skirts, but i've seen many cars with molded skirts. I have 17' rims , could that be the cause of the noise? The noise starts out low at low speeds and as I increase speed it gets louder. Anyone have any suggestions what it might be or were I can go to find out what it might be. thanks.
I don't think you can do anything. My moms 00 LX has alot and its stock. I don't like it I go from my car to hers and would think it would be quiter but its not by much.
is it the 17' rims or the camber? Yeah, i mean camber. Someone suggested it to me , but im getting rid of the hatch and don't want to spend anymore money.

Honestly some tires are just louder than others, I don't know what type of falkens you are talking about but an alignment would get rid of that problem.
the thing is that i went to get an alignment and no one will because it is dropped, my dads friend said that they don't work when the car has been dropped because of the pressure on the control arm.

Civic is an economy car, it just comes with more road noise than other cars. Add low profile tires and/or stiffer suspension and you will get more. Oh, and you should take care of you camber problem or you will need new tires soon.

just koni adjustable shocks (how ever far you can go with koni shocks, left stock springs), but with the side skirts it looks lower. should i get a camber kit

Koni does not like slammed cars at all, it should be a problem of noise but more of a problem of how long they will hold up. Just keep trying to get an alignment, I'm sure you will find a place where you are at that will do it.
Wait, its just Koni shocks, and stock springs? So it can't be that much lower, can it?
Sorry, Im not familiar with Koni shocks, so I don't know exactly how low the perch can be set. Do the alignment shops notice that its lowered, or are you telling them it is?

All civics are noisy. It's just a fact of life although the 17" and improper alignment probably arn't helping.
