My old roommate used the Earl's and had troubles with them, couldn't get a firm pedal. We eventually took them off, and conventionally bled the brakes to get them right. I OTOH used the Russell brand ones and never have had any issues. I ordered mine from Jegs btw.

In using ANY kind of speed bleeder you need to remember that you only have to open the bleeder 1/4-1/3 of a turn. Any more and your risking letting air in which equals squishy brakes. I would say that 90% of the complaints I get are solved because they where opeing them almost a full turn to bleed.
The SpeedBleeders brand comes with a sealent on them too for a better seal.

The Speed Bleeders are exactly the same as the OEM bleeder when closed! So when your bleeding and your getting air in there check your sealent on the threads and make sure your threads are not starting to strip. The regular OEM and Speed bleeders are not meant to be torqued higher than 32-40 in-lbs.(not ft-lbs!).
