Default Suspension Advice

Well I was originally going to go with a Tein SS setup for my 93 del sol si.....

But I have recently changed my mind after reading the numerous posts about how bad they suck! So I had a few questions about a different setup.

What Setup Is best for my sol, Im looking to spend about 1,000 on coilovers (but can go a few hundred over that if its necessary), And a camber kit (skunk2).

Now Should I go with the ITR LCA's so I can use Integra suspension? What all is needed to do this conversion?

I will be driving it daily but it will be auto-xing alot once i get my swap, and stiff is good im not worried about a bumpy ride!

thanks for any help provided
Mitch

Tein is good ****!!!!!!!
Don't dog them over a few dumb comments. Tanabe makes a good coilover too.

Well, for a daily driven car, that just wants some nice suspension with height adjustability the SS's are just fine. I think the main complaint about them is that they are a tad too soft for any 'serious' driving. If you were to go the Tein route--I'd suggest going with the HA series (granted, these have become very hard to find in popular applications) or higher...but this all depends on what your purpose is with the car.

Koni yellows and gc coilovers, or you can go with eibach ers springs, with the ers you can get custom spring rates. I would recomend that set up for anyone, they are excellent in the corners but offer adjustibility and comfort for daily driving.

Could you be a little more specific about the JIC Coils?

JIC Magic SF-1 Suspension Kit sounds cool, Upper Pillow ball mount(not included with the tein SS) any more info on these

Black2kCivic - How much would a setup like that run? and what are some good spring rates for a auto-x/street sol? Also would it outperform a good set of true coilovers?

If I were you I'd get some GC coilovers with some konis. Then spend the rest on sway bar/lcas etc....

You would probally be looking at 800+ for the set up I would imagine. I run 450 up from and 500 in the rear and my *** end steps out nicely. I also have a front and rear bar and a 19mm rear sway bar with no front sway bar. It handles awesome.

Ok, Well this GC/Koni Setup is looking tempting! I just have a few questions about specifics. What GC would you recommend (or is there only 1)? Also are the Koni limited to a certain drop warranty? And finally would you recommend those spring rates for a sol, or would something stiffer be nice?

Also with your comment happyman, What benefit would Upgraded LCA's provide? And what are a good set of swaybars? I already have a Nuspeed Upper Strut bar, and plan on rear lower and upper.

Thanks for all of the help and patience.

You can get custom spring rates with GCs. I believe Konis are warenteed up to a 2.2 inch drop(don't quote me on that)

Get some Tein's. I've got the Type Flex's with the upper pillow mounts and I absolutely love them.
