my damn tranny is messed, i have a 94 si, and shifting into reverse grinds like 7 out of 10 times, and on occasions hift into third or 5th does the same, its a terrible noise and i hate hurting my beloved car, i am changeing the tranny and clutch oils within days, but i asked about this before on Hondatech and most people said it sound like it the synchros, what are they, i am not big on tranny mechanics. help, again.

mine does the same **** i got a d16z6 reverse, third, fifth, all grind but not all the time just when ever i punch it except for reverse duh. but i bought some redline tranny fluid i just haven't put it in, hopefully that helps.

shift into first or whatever gear before you go into reverse...

thanks for the redline oil tip, maybe i will use that, but no one has said anyting about the synchros, what are they i still dont know

replacing the syncro's is probably going to be more expensive than just buying another tranny. the syncro's don't cost a lot, its the labor that will get you. i have a z6 tranny for sale too if your interested.
